As a Christian, one of Joseph’s greatest joys is bringing a message of hope to any person, at any time, in any situation through the truth contained in Scripture. Joseph joined the Journey of Faith staff in 2011 and is leading the charge to advance the Kingdom of God in the Bellflower area.

He married his beautiful and musically talented wife, Sheena, in the spring of 2006 and they have four children: Sterling, Josiah, Storm, and Everly. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Theology from Talbot school of Theology and his Bachelors in Animal Science, pre-veterinary medicine from Cal Poly Pomona. Before coming to Journey of Faith, Joseph has served 14 years in various youth, college and associate pastoral roles.

In his spare time, Joseph enjoys photography, rock climbing, soccer and the occasional trip to Costa Rica. It is his prayer that God will continue to help him live a godly life, boldly share the Gospel message of the one and only Good, True and Beautiful God and disciple others to do the same.

Alan joined the Journey of Faith staff in 2018, drawn by the congregation’s deep love for each other and passion for God’s Word. As a bi-vocational pastor, Alan also works for CrossTalk Global, a missions organization that equips pastors overseas to more effectively understand and communicate God’s Word.

He married his college sweetheart, Amy, in 2011, and they have two daughters, Joy and Eliza. With his flexible schedule, Alan has the privilege of spending most days with Joy and Eliza. He attended Western Seminary and Talbot School of Theology, earning degrees in Bible, New Testament, and Preaching.

When he has spare time, Alan enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.

Benjamin joined the team at Journey of Faith in 2021, excited to see how God would use this vibrant church to serve a community recovering from the upheaval of the COVID-19 pandemic. Benjamin is driven by a desire to introduce young people to Jesus and help them become lifelong disciples with a love for God’s Word and world. He also has a heart for international missions, and has spent several summers living in eastern Europe leading music-based youth outreach. In addition to his part-time pastoral position, Benjamin is a full-time teacher of history and theology at Pacifica Christian High School in Newport Beach, CA. He holds degrees in theology and pastoral ministries from Biola University and Talbot School of Theology.

Benjamin is proud to hail from Olympia, Washington, and although California has grown on him, he’ll never stop being a Pacific Northwesterner at heart! He married his beautiful and brilliant wife Sage in July of 2021, and the two enjoy serving the youth of Bellflower together as a young married couple. In Benjamin’s free time, he enjoys reading, writing, playing guitar, going for long walks, and doing anything at all with Sage.

Ken and his wife moved to Bellflower and were looking for a church that focused on the Bible, that had a Pastor that was Biblically oriented, interesting, and charismatic, and that had people who were friendly and welcoming. We found all of this when visiting this church.

We found this church to also have ministries for our whole family. Excellent children’s ministry and opportunities for service for our youngest daughter, and a great youth ministry for our oldest daughter, who also was able to join the youth choir. We have always loved the people of our church and the various Pastor’s we’ve had down through the years. We love the many opportunities offered our family to serve God and the community we live in.

I have been retired now for about twenty years, and spend a lot of my time in ministry at the church as an Elder, Choir Director, Adult Teacher, and working on the Finance Team. I do have time to spend with my wife listening to music, eating out, vacationing, going to an occasional movie, watching the Los Angeles Rams football team on TV, and going places and doing things with our daughters and our grand children.

JJ has served on both the deacon and elder board of Journey of Faith Bellflower.

He has served as the director of Journey of Faith’s Saturday Kid’s Club ministry since 2011, where he leads students in a Bible Theater program and a questions-based Bible study.

It is his passion to see all children and youth come to Know Jesus, Love the Church, and Share the Gospel.

Jed Cauffman began his faith journey to Journey of Faith in the spring of 1984 when he met Lois Osburn, a faithful attender of Bellflower Baptist Church (now Journey of Faith Bellflower) who was at that time a missionary in Bellflower. Over the last thirty-seven years, Lois has been ceaseless in her prayers for Jed that God would grow him as a faithful disciple. Lois continues those prayers, trusting in what Paul wrote in Philippians 1:6. Jed and his wife, Nancy, returned to Bellflower after Jed spent time as an interim pastor in Montana, and Jed began serving on the elder board at Journey of Faith in 2022.
